Who I am as a teacher:

• I strive to create a learning environment that is supportive, structured, and engaging for all students. My patience and flexibility allow me to adapt to and incorporate different learning styles while staying focused on the lesson plan.
• As a first-generation immigrant born in the Philippines and raised in Los Angeles, I understand the challenges of growing up in the U.S. and navigating the balance between different cultural values. This experience has shaped my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• With a lifelong passion for health and wellness, I also work part-time as an AFAA-certified group exercise instructor, specializing in aquatic exercise, high-intensity interval training, and dance fitness formats. I especially enjoy ongoing training opportunities and love learning about all types of dance—from cultural traditions to modern and contemporary styles.
