Kindergarten begins at 2:30 p.m. and grades 1-8 start at 3:15 p.m. The program ends promptly at 6:00 p.m., and schedules are flexible for each family. Availability is subject to staffing and is reviewed annually.

Our Mission

This year at ISM, we have come together to remember that “Belonging Begins with Us.” This theme is explored throughout the school day and into the afternoon at ASI, where we provide opportunities for each student to foster a sense of belonging through shared enrichment and social activities. By offering engaging activities such as dance, art, gardening, and more, we help share our identity, skills, knowledge, and thinking, creating a bond with others in our ASI and school community.

ASI at a Glance

K - 2

Students in Kindergarten through Second grade are given the opportunity each day to participate in activities, relax during our scheduled reading time, and enjoy daily snacks, provided at no cost by Mr. Terry Bumper

3 - 8

Students in third through eighth grade are also encouraged to participate in daily activities, practice their reading skills, and are provided with a fresh snack each day. However, beginning in third grade, students are allotted 30 minutes to an hour of homework time daily in a quiet workspace.

Additional Programming

ASI will invite guest speakers from our community to lead engaging activities and talks. Topics include healthy eating, environmental sustainability, and, for students in 5th-8th grade, career presentations. These special guests will join us at least once a month.

Community partners provide additional engaging programming for our students in all grades.  STEAM and Robotics @ 831 is one of the community members who provide technology-based experiences weekly for our students!
