If you haven’t yet met Lauren Cohen, the first thing you’ll learn is that her smile will turn an entire room 30 points happier. As a credentialed teacher and the Executive Director of MY Museum (Monterey Youth Museum) since 1998, Lauren brings to ISM deep expertise in child development, organizational leadership, and a natural talent for connecting our local community leaders to ISM. Lauren identifies with the school’s mission because of her vision that seeing one’s place in the larger world is as critical as becoming a member of the local community.

To Lauren, whose favorite IB Learner Profile attribute is caring, the pervasive feeling of gratitude is an inspiring and unique component of the ISM culture, causing her to smile more, spreading more happy points.
