Accepting Applications for 2001/2002
MONTEREY, CA - June 1, 2001 -
The International School of Monterey is excited to announce that
we have begun accepting applications for the 2001-2002 school year.
The deadline for submitting applications is the close of business
June 15, 2001. Applications are being accepted for students entering
Kindergarten through grade 3. Students will be accepted into the
appropriate class if their birthday falls on or before December
2nd. Acceptable grade ages are: Kindergarten- 5 years, 1st
grade-6 years, 2nd grade-7 years, and 3rd grade-8 years of age by
December 2nd, 2001. If there are more applications than spaces available,
a lottery will be held on June 25th, 2001. Notification of acceptance
will take place after this date. Completed applications and evaluations
should be submitted to PO Box 0711 Monterey, CA 93942-711
or faxed to 831-484-8081. Application forms are available by download
from the ISM web site at http://www.ismonterey.org/Pages/admission.html,
or by calling 831-375-3480.
The International School of Monterey
will be holding an open house for interested parents and children
on Saturday, June 9, 2001, from 12:00-2:00 PM at our David Ave.
site (1004 David Ave., Pacific Grove). A site committee meeting
will be held prior to the open house at 10:00 AM. All parents interested
in helping with site issues are welcome to attend the meeting.
The International School of Monterey

school to educate all students toward becoming conscientious, compassionate
and responsible citizens of the world. This is done using a philosophy
centered on inquiry-based teaching (the International Baccalaureate
