with our school.
ISM seeks enthusiastic, flexible, highly qualified
teachers that are committed to the intellectual, social, and ethical
development of students from diverse backgrounds.
Candidates are encouraged to consider the following
criteria prior to submitting an application to ISM:
- All candidates must possess/qualify for
teaching credentials in the State of California. Other country
national candidates must possess appropriate documents to obtain
a work permit.
- A minimum of two years’ full-time
teaching experience is desired; an advanced degree is preferred.
- All teaching candidates must be fluent
in the English language and demonstrate the ability to teach in
this language.
- All candidates must provide three confidential
letters of professional recommendation one of which must be from
a current school director.
- Candidates that possess Dual-Language,
Reading Specialists, or Early Childhood certificates will be given
special consideration for the International Primary Curriculum
Program.
- Overseas teaching experience is
preferred.
Teachers are not hired without an interview
and a thorough reference check.
